The Rest of the Crew, While We Wait...

Erin says goodbye at her last 12 n Up Jazz Band concert.

Ready to plant, Dad!

Lauren and Johnie ready to head off to Prom, where Lauren was in the Court.

Ready for Crazy Hair Night at AWANA

Okay, while I am testing out adding additional pictures to a blog, thought I would post some recent photos of the rest of the family for those of you who may not see us that often--i.e. Lauren was a toddler last you heard! Ha! Ha! Don't want to leave them out of the process!!!! They are very good big sisters, but it remains to be seen how Jeremy will feel about being a little brother!!!!

Introducing Joshua XiZe Kinzinger

Here is our first picture of Boa Xi Ze, born February 23, 2004 in the Guangdong Province of China. We started the process last fall, accepted his referral to our family in early February of this year, and China approved us as his forever family a few days later. The paperwork part of the adoption process is daunting, but nothing compared to the waiting! For pregnancy there is a defined "end point", but not so with adoption, which can be slightly maddening at times--for both the waiting family and their poor social worker, I'm sure! :>) He is described by his caretakers as smart, social, eager to please, and a favorite among his friends because he is "easy to share his toys".... They also say he is handsome and they tell him so! :>) He is not much bigger than Jeremy by his latest measurements, so no hand-me downs for Jeremy for a while, I guess! As of today, we have been informed that our travel approval has arrived in the U.S. and we will HOPEFULLY be meeting our new son in a few weeks!

I am totally new to this blogging thing, but thought I would give it a try this time, so bear with me! Nothing fancy, but hopefully it will keep those who are interested updated while we travel, and give us a chance to share our excitement as we meet our new son, Joshua XiZe.

Erin's Graduation Helped Pass the Time While We Waited...

Here is the whole gang: Angie, Audrey, Jeremy, Erin, Russell and Lauren on the day of Erin's high school graduation in May. It is a year of big changes for the Kinzingers, with Erin headed off to college in the fall and new brother, Joshua, joining us sometime this summer--hopefully!!!!
